Types of Cable Tray

Select cable tray according to different materials.

Cable trays are core supporting components in cable laying systems.
primarily used for organizing, protecting, and supporting cables in indoor and outdoor environments, as well as in chemical, power, telecommunications, and construction settings.

Different materials offer varying characteristics in strength, corrosion resistance, weight, insulation, and service life, meeting diverse engineering needs such as general industrial applications, coastal high-salt-spray environments, strong corrosion conditions, cleanrooms, and explosion-proof applications.

What is ZAM Cable Tray?
This new generation of highly corrosion-resistant cable support products, made with a zinc-aluminum-magnesium (Zn-Al-Mg) alloy coating (commonly known in the industry as ZAM coating), is an upgraded alternative to traditional hot-dip galvanized cable trays.
What is Stainless steel 304/316(SS)Cable Tray?
304/316 stainless steel cable trays are high-end corrosion-resistant cable management products, widely used in harsh environments such as high corrosion, high humidity, salt spray, chemical, marine, and cleanroom environments.
What is Galvanized Cable Tray?
Galvanized cable trays are steel cable trays with a zinc protective layer formed on the surface through hot-dip galvanizing or electro-galvanizing processes. They are currently the most commonly used cable support and protection products in engineering projects.

Questions

FAQ Cable Tray

Is ZAM cable tray suitable for outdoor long-term use?
Yes. Its salt spray resistance can reach more than 3000 hours, and it has self-healing performance for cuts. It can be used outdoors, coastal areas and other harsh environments for 25-30 years without frequent maintenance.

What is a cable tray?
A cable tray is a standardized support system used for the laying, supporting, organizing and protecting of power, communication and control cables. It is widely used in projects such as factories, buildings, data centers, tunnels, chemical industry and municipal engineering.
Is the load-bearing capacity of ZAM cable tray lower than that of hot-dip galvanized tray?
No. ZAM cable tray uses the same steel base material as hot-dip galvanized tray, and its strength is ≥300MPa, which can meet the load-bearing requirements of most industrial and civil projects, and is suitable for large-span installation.
Can ZAM cable tray be processed (cut, bent, welded)?
Yes. The ZAM coating has strong adhesion, and it is not easy to peel off during cutting, bending and welding. It can be processed according to the on-site installation needs, which is as convenient as ordinary steel tray.
What is the difference between ZAM cable tray and 304 stainless steel tray in terms of cost and performance?
ZAM cable tray has better corrosion resistance than hot-dip galvanized tray, and its cost is only 1/3-1/2 of 304 stainless steel tray. It is a cost-effective choice for high-corrosion environments such as coastal areas and chemical industry, balancing performance and cost.
Does ZAM cable tray need special maintenance?
No. ZAM cable tray has excellent corrosion resistance and does not need painting or regular maintenance during use. It only needs simple cleaning occasionally to keep the surface clean, which greatly reduces the later maintenance cost.
